The Eastar ECL-300 clarinet sports a sturdy build, it is a standard clarinet for beginner players that comes with the relevant accessories and a carry case that will ensure the instrument maintains its structural and functional integrity during transportation and storage.
I have been studying musicology and am also an avid clarinetist, but took a long break from study. I have resumed learning and now more than ever I feel like I need a new clarinet. The clarinet that I initially used was a gift from my father and has taken quite a beating over the years thus the need for a new one.
The clarinet that I intend to purchase must not bloat my bank balance, but should also be highly functional and durable; with that in mind, I combed the market and was quite impressed with the Eastar ECL-300 B Flat Clarinet. So I decided to dig around to ensure that it was worth the purchase. Check below as I share my findings.
Eastar ECL-300 B Flat Clarinet Review and Breakdown?
As mentioned earlier the Eastar ECL-300 B Flat Clarinet is aesthetically pleasing. However, I also noticed minor issues none of which affects the overall functionality of the instrument. For one I discovered that the ring on the bell is not permanently affixed the same goes for the rings incorporated on the lower joints, thus you can pull them off if you wish.
The bore is however sturdily constructed and the finish on the keys is equally superb. The clarinet comes with a carry case, which makes it easy to travel with and store, thus you can be sure that your instrument is safe from external impact. I also tested it out to evaluate its performance and sound production and found that it offers average performance. And would, therefore, says it is a good enough instrument for a student.
The instrument is also comfortable to play thus we can conclude that it is a decent instrument to play with and quite budget-friendly too. Given the price and the fact that it has never been used, I think it is a good instrument to start off with as I sharpen my clarinet playing skills.
